Dropped $300 on a signal blocker after reading about the 'smart dust' thing, and now I'm not sure if it's genius or a total scam.
I got deep into a rabbit hole about micro sensors and ended up buying a little box that's supposed to block signals in a small room. It was a solid chunk of change, about $300. I set it up in my home office, and honestly, my wifi got way worse, so it's doing something. But I can't tell if I'm actually safer from some wild theory or if I just paid a lot to ruin my own internet. Has anyone else actually tested one of these things and found real proof it works?

Man, that "solid chunk of change" line really hits home. I've been there, buying weird tech after a late night deep dive. It's that awful feeling when the box arrives and the excitement turns into doubt. You see your wifi drop and just think, well, it does something, but is that something useful or just a really expensive way to make my own life harder? I never found any real proof with the one I tried, just a dead spot for my phone.

My old Faraday cage bag did the same thing, killed all signals near my desk. I ended up just using a metal cookie tin for my keys and wallet, works just as well for a fraction of the cost. Sometimes the simple fix is right in your kitchen.
