Stripped out a $180 bull float handle yesterday because the threads were soft as butter
Bought it from a big box store 3 months ago and the metal just gave way on a big slab pour in Raleigh. Has anybody found a brand with handles that actually hold up to heavy use?

Switched to a local welding shop's handle and never had threads strip again.

Oh come on, that's a huge overreaction. You're telling me a fancy handle fixed your threading problems? I bet it was just a coincidence or you tightened it less with the new one. Handles are handles, man. The real fix is learning how to not crank on it like you're trying to unscrew a bolt from concrete. Plus, if you're stripping threads that often, maybe the issue is the tool or the material you're using, not the handle. I've used the cheapest stamped metal handles on everything for years and never had a single thread strip.
