Spent 4 hours chasing a printer driver issue that was just a loose USB cable.

Last Tuesday I was swapping out an old HP LaserJet for a small law firm and the new one kept throwing error codes, turns out the cable wasn't fully clicked in and I wasted my whole afternoon on it, has anyone else had a fix that stupidly simple take forever to figure out?

Honestly yeah it's such a crap feeling. What finally clicked for me was forcing myself to break whatever I was stuck on into tiny steps, like ridiculously small ones. I'd write down just the first move, do that, then take a breather before even looking at the next step. Tbh it sounds dumb but it stopped me from freaking out about the whole mountain of work. Also I started setting a timer for 10 minutes, because anyone can do anything for 10 minutes right? After that I'd let myself stop if I really needed to, but usually I kept going. Ngl just starting is the hardest part, once you get that first thing done the rest feels way less impossible.
