A trick with a zip tie saved my dive light on a night job in Mobile Bay

Last week we were doing a night hull clean on a barge and my primary light mount snapped. I had a spare zip tie in my tool pouch and looped it through the light's lanyard hole and around my wrist. It held for the full three hour dive. Has anyone else had to rig up a light mount in a pinch? What did you use?

My "rigged in a pinch" story involves duct tape and a prayer that didn't hold.

Oh man, @young.sarah, "duct tape and a prayer" is the realest thing I've ever heard! I once tried to fix a broken car mirror with duct tape and a zip tie. It looked okay for about ten miles on the highway before the whole thing just flew off. I had to drive home just looking out the passenger window. That tape just gives you false hope!

Nice! I've used a rubber band from my hair to strap a backup light to my wrist before.
