I finally stopped using tap water after a barista friend told me it was ruining my pour-overs.
She said the minerals in my local tap water were making every cup taste muddy and flat, so now I buy those gallon jugs of filtered water for $1.50 at the grocery store, and my morning coffee actually tastes like the beans now instead of like nothing - has anyone else noticed a huge difference switching water sources?

My tap water here in Philadelphia is awful so switching to jugs made a night and day difference.

$1.50 a gallon for filtered water though? That feels steep for something you go through every morning, I’d be broke in a week.
