I finally snapped over the constant misuse of our French press at company events

Maybe it's just me, but watching people treat a French press like a disposable cup holder drives me insane. I mean, at last week's quarterly meeting, someone poured boiling water directly onto the grounds without letting it cool, resulting in a bitter, undrinkable sludge. This isn't just about taste, it shows a lack of respect for the craft that many of us value. In my warehouse, we've switched to a simple pour-over setup that everyone can use correctly, and morale has actually improved. Idk, maybe I'm being petty, but when management splurges on gear without providing basic training, it feels like a wasted opportunity. We should be fostering appreciation, not ignorance.

That "undrinkable sludge" probably killed office morale faster than the coffee.

Undrinkable sludge" is such a perfect way to put it. Was the coffee legitimately worse than whatever management was brewing up?

Remember the great coffee maker war? They brought in a single cup machine. But only managers got codes. Rest of us used a broken pot. People just stopped drinking coffee altogether. Meetings got real quiet.
