Honestly thought my cheap blade grinder was fine for my French press

I borrowed my friend's Baratza Encore for a week after he insisted, and the first cup from my usual beans tasted like a different, much sweeter drink. Tbh, the uniform grind size made a huge difference, no more bitter sludge at the bottom. Anyone have a good budget pick for a proper burr grinder under $100?

Wait, you were using a blade grinder for a French press this whole time? That explains the bitter sludge, those things make way too many tiny powder bits. A basic hand burr grinder is a total game changer for under fifty bucks.

Ever notice how the right tool for the job just makes everything click? Like using a screwdriver instead of a butter knife.
