Update: I thought you had to memorize everything to code

I kept trying to memorize every Python function, which made learning feel impossible. Then a teacher at my local library's coding workshop said, 'Professional developers use Google and documentation constantly.' That changed my whole approach. How do you balance learning the basics with looking things up?

Honestly, I did that too! Total game changer.

Oh man, I did the same thing with JavaScript. It's like trying to memorize the phone book. The basics stick with practice, but the rest you just learn how to find fast.

I used to think that way too, but now I just focus on understanding how things work.
