Wasted $400 on a cheap 4th axis setup from eBay
Bought this knockoff 4th axis rotary table for $400 thinking I was SAVING big. Took 3 weeks to arrive and the backlash was so bad I couldn't hold +/-0.005 on a simple index job. Had to scrap two aluminum parts worth $150 each before I figured it out. Anyone else get burned buying budget rotary gear online?

Oh man, that stings. I had almost the exact same thing happen with a cheap 5C spin indexer off Amazon, ended up just eating the cost and throwing it in the scrap pile. What finally worked for me was biting the bullet on a used Hardinge from a local machine shop closing down, cost more upfront but has paid for itself ten times over in not ruining parts.

Wait, hold on - you had to scrap TWO parts worth $150 each before you realized it was the table? Oh man, that's brutal. I would have probably cried in the chip tray after the second one.
