My neighborhood block finally got a rain barrel program going

After 8 months of nagging the HOA and one city council meeting I actually showed up to, they approved a bulk order of 50 rain barrels for like 40% off retail. We had 42 people sign up in the first week and installs start next Tuesday. Anyone else had luck getting their community on board with something simple like this?

Took us showing up to three HOA meetings with printed numbers on water bills to get them to listen. We finally convinced them by pointing out it was basically free money with the rebates and savings. Now almost half the street has them and the gardens look great compared to before.
