I switched my lawn sprinklers to run before sunrise instead of at noon, my water bill dropped by 30 bucks last month.

Running sprinklers at noon is like trying to cool your house with the windows open. All that water just evaporates before it even hits the grass. My neighbor still does that and his lawn looks like straw.

My old lawn looked like a patchy brown rug for a solid month before I figured it out. I was that guy watering at 2pm because it was the only time I remembered. Felt like I was just paying to make the sidewalk wet. Now I have a 5am alarm that just says "grass" so I don't forget again.
