Showerthought: The weirdest thing I saw on a job in Savannah
I was cleaning the flue on a big old house on Jones Street last month and found a perfectly intact, dusty jar of pickles sitting on a smoke shelf. No idea how it got there, but the homeowner was just as confused as I was. Has anyone else found something truly bizarre tucked away in a chimney?

Read about a guy in Charleston who pulled a whole, dried-out raccoon out of a chimney breast. It was dressed in a tiny, handmade felt vest. The theory was some old-timey pest control attempt, but the outfit made it extra strange.
