Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk went from my favorite to just okay after I started using less cereal
I always filled the bowl with cereal and barely any milk, so the leftover milk was thick and sweet. About a month ago I started using half the cereal and more milk, and now the leftover stuff tastes watery with just a hint of cinnamon. Did I ruin the whole point of cereal milk or is this just how it goes when you switch ratios?
The phrase "barely any milk" is the real key here, not the cereal amount. When you use a tiny splash of milk, most of it gets absorbed into the cereal and what's left is basically cinnamon sugar sludge. With more milk, the sugar and cinnamon get spread thin across a much bigger puddle, so of course it tastes weak. Try adding a spoon of sugar or a dash of cinnamon to the milk itself before you pour, that way the flavor stays strong no matter what your ratio is.
