He told me to stop babying my skillet with soap and just scrub it with salt and a potato half while it's warm, and I still think about that advice every time I pull mine out of the oven on Sunday mornings.

Ever tried scrubbing a hot pan with a potato half? My buddy did it and burnt his hand pretty bad.
