Remember when we all used to carry those heavy knee kickers?
Last week in Tampa, I pulled out my old one for a small repair and my apprentice just stared at it, then showed me his power stretcher. Three years ago, that tool was in every van, but now it feels like a museum piece. Anyone else still keep one around for the odd job?

Oh man, I mean a knee kicker isn't really a single-use tool though, @jessicaw11. It's just a different way to get the job done. I still use mine for closets and tight spots the power stretcher can't fit.

My dad's old toolbox is full of these single-use tools that feel obsolete now. It makes you wonder if we're just trading real skill for convenience, you know? That specific knowledge of how to use a knee kicker properly is probably fading fast.
