A client's simple thank you note made my whole week

Finished a big install in a house on Elm Street last Friday, and the owner left a handwritten card on the kitchen counter. It just said 'You made our home feel like home again, thank you.' Been doing this for fifteen years, and that small thing still hits hard. What's a small moment that stuck with you guys?

My old boss used to say notes were pointless, but one changed my mind.

Totally get that. My last manager hated documentation too. Then a client email got super confusing about project specs. Pulled up the meeting notes from weeks before and cleared everything up in two minutes. Changed how our whole team worked. Now we keep a shared doc for every call, no exceptions.
