Snowed-in week turned into my best trim work yet

Last February we got dumped on for four straight days in Buffalo, so I finally tackled the crown molding in my own living room that I'd been avoiding since September. The first corner fought me for an hour, but once I set up a stop block on my miter saw and cut every piece in one sequence, it clicked. I ended up with zero gaps, even around the one out-of-square wall that's been mocking me for years. Anyone else find that forced downtime on a small job teaches you more than a month of rushed production work?

Zero gaps" on crown molding? That's like winning the lottery in carpentry. I've done trim for twenty years and I still get a little twitchy around out-of-square walls. That one wall just happening to not fight you is some kind of miracle.
