Overheard a guy at the lumber yard saying he never uses a chalk line for long cuts

He just snaps a straight edge on the plywood with a clamped level instead and marks both ends. Has anyone else tried that method for rip cuts on sheathing?

Funny how we all find our own shortcuts, same as how nobody folds their socks the store way.

@wilson.emma you got me thinking. I fold my socks into little balls now because the store way never made sense to me either. Honestly I just grab whatever two look close enough in the dark and hope they match. My sock drawer is basically a war zone of mismatched pairs and lone survivors. Guess we all figure out what works for us even if it looks ridiculous to everyone else.
