Serious question, I totally blanked on a client's name during a big presentation in Atlanta last Tuesday.

I just said 'our valued partner' a bunch, then after the meeting I sent a quick email with a specific follow-up question to get them to reply with their name. Has anyone else had to recover from a brain freeze like that in a professional setting?

Is it really that big of a deal? You handled it fine and got the name. People forget stuff all the time.

My brain just blue-screened for a solid 10 seconds, Ellis. It was like trying to remember my own birthday. I got the name, but only after a full system reboot that probably looked pretty concerning from the outside.
