That pallet of dented cans from the auction fed us for a month, until Tuesday

I grabbed 60 mixed cans at a storage auction in Tulsa for $12, felt like a genius. But Tuesday I opened a 'peaches' can that was actually green beans, and another labeled 'chili' was tomato paste. The labels peeled clean off, so now I'm scared to eat anything without opening it and sniffing first. Has anyone else gotten burned by repackaged auction cans, or did I just hit a bad batch?
