Shoutout to the gas station that saved my camping trip

Forgot my camp stove fuel at home. Popped into a Shell station outside Moab. Found a can of chili, some crackers, and a bic lighter. Ate hot chili right out the can at 2am. Has anyone else had to scavenge a meal from a random gas station?

Camping chili at 2am sounds like a real gourmet experience.

Haha yeah right? I actually read somewhere that chili tastes way better when you're eating it out of a metal bowl at 2am after a long hike. Something about the smoke and cold air makes it hit different. Plus there's no judgment about going back for a third bowl when nobody can see you lol.
