Update: Found another camera sealed shut with glue instead of screws

Just got a job for a popular point-and-shoot model. Opened it up and saw no screw holes, just glue seams. Had to use a plastic spudger and heat to get in, but the casing cracked. This is the third one this month. It feels like companies are making repairs impossible on purpose. I get that they want things slim, but at what cost? We end up with more e-waste because fixes are too hard. There has to be a better way for both design and repair.

Maybe it's not that big a deal.

Third glued camera this month just creates more e-waste.

Try a thin plastic pry tool from a phone repair kit next time, it works way better.
