Back pain from attic work changed my routine for good
Last week, I was in a hot attic running lines for three hours without a break. When I climbed down, my lower back was locked up and I could barely walk. The next day, I talked to a doctor who said tight muscles from doing the same motions over and over caused it. Now I spend five minutes doing basic stretches before any crawl space job. It seems small, but it has cut my end-of-day aches by half. What do you guys do to stay loose during long installs?

Do you stretch for yard work too? I do quick hamstring pulls before digging, it helps but isn't magic. You still get sore after a full day.

Quick hamstring pulls" are basically just a waste of time. You need a full warm-up to actually prep your muscles for real work. That soreness is your body telling you your routine is not enough.

10 minutes of stretching stops all soreness for me.
