That old guy at the shop swore by half-blind dovetails on everything
I used to think he was just showing off until I had to repair a drawer he built 15 years ago - those joints were still tight as new. Now I use them on every drawer box too. Anyone else have a technique they ignored for years that ended up being worth the extra time?

Man same here, I fought using dovetails for years but now I swear by them on anything I want to last.

Wait, are you telling me I wasted all those years swearing at half-blind dovetails for nothing? I still remember my first attempt looking like a beaver chewed through a 2x4 with a hangover. Now I can't go back either, even though my shop floor is still covered in the sawdust of my failures. What's your go-to tip for making the pins and tails line up without losing your mind?
