I thought curing pork belly would be simple, but the smoke was unreal! At least the taste made up for the chaos.

Try cold smoking outside to avoid smoke alarms.

Setting off every alarm is a rite of passage lol. You can cover smoke alarms with a shower cap for a bit, just don't forget to remove it later.

A wet paper towel stops the beeping, but for how long?
