Local library's reading challenge has me redoing my bujo spreads

My neighborhood library just launched a summer reading challenge with different categories. I want to log my progress and book notes, but my current bujo setup isn't cutting it. Any tips for creating a spread that can handle multiple books and tracking goals? I'm considering a tracker page with columns for each book.

That coffee stain thing from @jennifer_henderson97 is too real, it's like books just attract mess. Your tracker idea sounds way better than my old system, which was just scribbles on library receipts. It makes me remember the weird smell of the old library downtown, the one with the carpet that felt sticky. Mrs. Gable, the librarian there, would always put a bookmark in anything she thought I'd like...

Last summer, my cousin convinced me to join a book club with a similar tracking system. I ended up using a basic notebook where I just jotted down titles and dates in the margins. It got messy fast, especially when I tried to add notes about characters or plot points. By August, the pages were covered in coffee stains and doodles from boring meetings. Honestly, sometimes the simplest list on a spare piece of paper worked better than any fancy spread.

Yeah, @jennifer_henderson97, that's the real test for any system, whether it survives the coffee spills and boring meeting doodles.
