That $50 'budget tracker' app I bought last week was a total scam
I saw this app called PennyWise that promised to track everything automatically, so I paid $50 for a year subscription... turns out it just manually logs stuff that my free spreadsheet already does. Lost the money and three hours trying to import my data. Has anyone else wasted cash on one of these so-called 'smart' budgeting tools?

Heard a financial blogger talk about how these apps are basically just reskins of free templates with a fancy logo. She tested like 10 of them and found most just do basic math your bank's app already does. Saw a whole reddit thread where people were sharing their free spreadsheet setups that do the same thing but better. Its wild how these companies prey on people who just want a little help with their money. Did you try getting a refund through your bank or the app store? Some people have had luck disputing it as a scam purchase.

100 bucks a month is nothing if it stops someone from overdrafting twice lol
