Booking a fall coast trip instead of summer cut my costs in half
I keep hearing how traveling off peak saves money, so I gave it a shot. We went to a beach town in October when the crowds were gone. Our flight and a little condo cost way less than they would in July. The weather was still warm enough for walks and quiet time. It was a simple change that made the whole trip affordable and calm.

So we're all just supposed to avoid fun in the sun during actual summer now? My calendar is getting very confused, but my wallet is starting to agree. Guess I'll be the weirdo at the beach in a sweater.
