Avoided dried pasta for years, thinking fresh was always tastier. Tried it last week and the difference isn't huge for most dishes. What's your go-to budget carb?

Don't sleep on the satisfying chew dried rigatoni gives a simple tomato sauce.

Yeah @marymorgan is totally right about the texture holding sauce better. A thick meat ragu just slides right off fresh noodles but sticks to the dried stuff, it's a game changer lol.

No way, I totally disagree. Dried pasta has a completely different texture that holds up so much better, especially with heavier sauces. Fresh pasta can get soggy way too fast unless you eat it the second it's done. Honestly, a good box of dried spaghetti is my absolute favorite cheap carb, hands down.
