Sat on a free bench at the city botanical garden for 3 hours last Saturday
I live near the Denver Botanic Gardens and they have a free entry day on the first Tuesday of every month, so I finally checked it out. There's this one bench tucked behind the Japanese section that has a perfect view of a koi pond, and I just watched the fish swim around and sketched a little in my notebook. Anyone else find a good free spot in their city that feels like a secret?

Wait, you just sat there for 3 hours? That's like a whole movie length of just watching fish. I'd probably get too restless after 45 minutes max.

It's not like it's some deep spiritual quest. Some people just need to calm down for a bit. 45 minutes is fine but three hours if you're really zoning out is just watching water. It's not life or death. You could just bring a snack and scroll on your phone the whole time anyways.
