Tried using a new polymer mortar mix on a retaining wall job in Spokane last month. The stuff set up WAY too fast in the sun, had to throw out a whole bag.

That stuff is brutal in direct sun. Gotta mix small batches and keep it in the shade. Lost a bag last summer too, total waste.

Read somewhere it can set up in like 10 minutes out there.

Ugh, "total waste" is the worst feeling. I feel your pain, that sun just cooks it.
