Can we talk about how our club's chat went from 2 replies to a full 50 message thread after we switched from voting on books to pitching them?
We made the change after our January meeting because someone said 'picking from a list feels like homework', and now our March read was chosen from 8 passionate pitches that got everyone debating for days.

Make people sell the book. We do a two minute pitch and then vote. It gets way more people invested in the choice.
