Wait, $450 for a plasma cutter? I mean, that seems crazy low to me. I thought the decent ones started way higher than that. No wonder it's giving you grief, that price point is basically asking for problems. Maybe it's just a total lemon from a bad brand.

Yeah, that price is basically a red flag.

Check the duty cycle on that thing. Cheap units can't run for more than a few minutes without overheating. You get what you pay for with tools like that.
