You know, I used to skip expansions too, seeing them as just more pieces to lose. But my group talked me into trying one for our favorite game, and it was a game changer. It added new rules that made every match feel fresh, like we were learning it all over again. That layer you mentioned is real, it stops the game from getting stale.
