Tired of everyone acting like thrifted frames are the only option
I keep seeing people rave about hunting down old frames at Goodwill for their wall galleries. I tried that for 2 months last summer and found nothing but busted corners and ugly gold plastic. Spent $34 on 5 basic black frames at IKEA instead and they look way cleaner together. Not everything has to be a vintage score you know. Sometimes buying new is just easier and still cheap. Has anyone else given up on the thrift store frame hunt?

You know what, I used to be one of those people who swore by thrifting frames. I thought it was more authentic or whatever. But then I spent like three weekends digging through bins and came home with a crooked frame that had a weird smell. Seeing you say you spent $34 on basic black IKEA frames and they look clean together actually made me realize I was just making things harder for myself. Sometimes the easiest option really is the best one.

Ugh, the SMELL thing. I’ve been there and it is SO gross. Solidarity.
