The washi tape grid my daughter drew in 2017 is still up
I was cleaning out our spare room last weekend and noticed the little grid of washi tape my daughter made when she was 6. She had drawn tiny stars in each square with a marker, sort of a calendar for her stuffed animals. A friend of mine, who does interior stuff professionally, saw it back then and said 'that tape grid has more charm than half the gallery walls I install.' I mean, she wasn't wrong. It's faded and peeling in one corner now, but every time I think about taking it down, I remember how proud my kid was pointing at each star. Do you guys ever keep up kid art way longer than you planned, or is it just me?

Wait, that tape grid is from 2017, and it's still holding up that well? Six years of faded tape and peeling corners is honestly impressive for something a 6-year-old slapped on a wall. My kid's macaroni art from last year already looks like it's decomposing, so you've got some serious craftsmanship there.
