The hype around Ted Lasso left me cold after 8 episodes
I kept hearing everyone at work say how Ted Lasso would change my outlook on life. So I gave it a solid 8 episodes last month and honestly, I was bored by the end of each one. The jokes felt forced and the positivity came across as fake rather than heartwarming. Is there a show that actually picks up after a slow start, or am I just not the target audience for this kind of thing?

Yeah I read somewhere the show gets way better after season one!

Wait, really? That's wild because I almost quit after the first season. That whole storyline with the boring side characters felt like such a drag and I remember thinking this is it? But if you're saying it picks up, I might have to give it another shot. Just seems crazy to me that a show would spend that much time setting up a world and then suddenly flip a switch like that. Guess I was too impatient. Might have to put it back on my list this weekend.
