I swore off texturizing shears for years, but a clean-up job changed everything

How do you balance movement with shape?

My barber showed me to use a 1.5 guard on the sides for texture, then point cut the ends. That keeps the shape but stops it from looking like a helmet.

Balancing movement with shape gets talked up too much. It's just about knowing when to add a bit of texture for a natural look. Calling it a balance makes a simple trick sound way more important than it is.
