Opted for a local credit union over a big bank last month for my checking account

I was with Chase for years but got tired of the monthly fees, so I switched to a small credit union near me in Portland. They don't charge for ATM withdrawals and I actually got a person on the phone in under 2 minutes. Has anyone else made the jump from a major bank to a local one?

Over 2 minutes is basically a miracle these days.

Actually it's not quite that simple... a lot of it depends on what you're watching. Some of the longer form stuff on YouTube like documentaries or video essays will hold attention for 5 or even 10 minutes if the hook is strong enough. But for quick TikTok style clips yeah 2 minutes is definitely pushing it. People scroll past anything that doesn't grab them in the first few seconds. Even 30 second ads feel too long when you're just trying to get to the next cat video.
