My entire basil harvest got wiped out by a surprise frost last Thursday.
I had six big pots of Genovese basil that were just about ready for a big pesto batch. The weather app said 40 degrees, but it dropped to 31 overnight here in Cincinnati. I came out in the morning and every leaf was black and limp. Has anyone found a good way to protect plants from a late cold snap on a 4th floor balcony?
