Just realized my local garden center in Springfield is selling seedlings with a nasty fungus

I was picking up some basil and cherry tomato starters yesterday and noticed a bunch of the plants had weird white, fuzzy spots on the stems (looked like powdery mildew, honestly). I pointed it out to a worker, and he just shrugged and said 'it happens sometimes.' Has anyone else seen this around town, or know a good spot for clean seedlings?

Oh man, my buddy got some peppers from there last week and they totally had the same fuzzy stuff! He had to toss them all, which was a real bummer.

Read something about that being a common mold on peppers.
