Found a guy on Craigslist to trench my new sprinkler line for $80

I spent 4 hours trying to dig it myself with a rented trencher and got 3 feet before giving up. He did the whole 80 foot run in 45 minutes with zero mess - has anyone else just started paying someone for the miserable jobs?

Told my back that $80 was a bargain for not spending the weekend curled up in a ball on the floor.

Oh man, I get the sentiment for sure, but I gotta say - that's $80 you could put toward an actual heating pad or a massage gun, maybe even a doctor visit if it's real bad. I mean, bargaining with your back feels like setting yourself up for a rough Monday when the pain comes back with interest. Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather spend that cash on something that actually helps long term instead of just crossing my fingers for one weekend.
