Just realized I blew $38 on a heat lamp my chicks did not need past week three
Bought the fancy red bulb setup at Tractor Supply when I picked up my six chicks, ran it 24/7 for almost two months. Turns out once they had real feathers around week 5 they were fine in my garage with just a towel over the brooder at night, and I was cooking them. Anyone else ditch the lamp earlier than the internet says?
