Thinking back to my first feeder setup as a kid

It was just a pie plate on a stump. These days I have a whole station, but I miss how easy it was.

Five feeders beat the old pie plate.

Notice this everywhere now, tools made for one job just work better. That old pie plate was trying to be everything for every bird, but five different feeders lets you match the food to the exact bird you want. It's like having one kitchen knife for all chopping versus a few good ones for specific tasks. We're finally getting that a single general solution usually disappoints everyone a little. Specializing actually makes things simpler in the end. You get less waste and better results.

Honestly, five different feeders? That sounds like a full time job just filling them all. Tbh I can barely keep one clean and full, the squirrels would have a field day at my place with five. Ngl the idea of matching food to the exact bird is a bit much for me, I just want to see some birds.
