Finally got my first 5 star review on a directory site after 4 months of trying
I work for a small IT consulting firm in Phoenix and we finally got a real client to leave us a review on Clutch last Thursday. It felt huge because we've been chasing that for like 4 months with no luck, sending follow up emails that went nowhere. The client actually called me to say our Azure migration saved them 30% on their monthly cloud bill, which was nice to hear. Has anyone else found it this hard to get clients to actually post reviews?

Hardest part of the whole process honestly.

...and here I was thinking it'd just happen naturally, like a few of my past clients promised they'd do but then never did. Congrats on finally getting that first one though, it's a weird mix of relief and wanting to high five a stranger. We had a client tell us they'd leave a review right after a project wrapped and I'm pretty sure their inbox just ate it or something. Took three follow ups and a gentle nudge about "how much it helps small teams like ours" before it actually appeared. Honestly feels like asking for a kidney sometimes.
