DAE spend ages tracing a squeal in the headset audio?

I just lost a full shift to a bad ground strap that only acted up when the engines were running.

Was it the kind of squeal that got worse with engine RPM? I've had that happen before where it's fine at idle but screams when you rev it. What test gear did you end up using to track it down, or was it just old fashioned wire wiggling?

Man, my buddy chased a whine in his car stereo for weeks. Turned out to be a bad ground that only acted up when he hit the gas.

I fixed mine by redoing the ground connection, worked like a charm.
