Blew a gasket at the DMV over a missing stamp, lost 4 hours
Last Tuesday in Reno, I needed a new title transfer for my old Tacoma. Got there at 7am, numbers already at 60. By 11 I finally get to the window. Clerk says my lien release stamp is faded, can't accept it. I said it's notarized, she didn't care. Told me I had to go back to the credit union in Sparks. The branch manager there laughed and said the stamp's fine, DMV's just being picky. He gave me a printed letter, handwritten note, even called the desk directly. Still got sent to the back of the line. Waited another 90 minutes. Finally got a supervisor who looked at the same paper and said 'okay.' What did I do different? Brought a friend who's a notary along, basically a human backup. Now I keep photocopies of everything, plus photos on my phone. Anyone else had to escalate to three people just to get a basic form approved? Or is my Reno DMV just cursed?

...and that reminds me, my brother once had to bring his whole file folder to the county clerk twice because they kept losing the same page. He literally taped the stupid paper to his chest like a protest sign and walked back in. Worked, surprisingly. I think the clerk was just too confused to argue.
