Broke a flint knife point off while pressure flaking last night

Was working on a replica Clovis point from some Georgetown flint I got in Texas and the tip snapped clean off on the last series of flakes. Now I gotta either reshaped the whole thing into a smaller point or just call it a scraper, anyone else hate when that happens with good chert?

Ah man, Georgetown flint is notoriously brittle in my experience. I'd double check that you're not working with heat treated stuff, it can be extra finicky and snap on you like that.

Brittle is right, Georgetown flint is a total crapshoot honestly.
