Interesting! I read an arborist's blog that said the same thing. He claimed the sleeves help most with the constant vibration from shears and the tight grip you have to keep. Basically, they add some stability so your own muscles don't have to work quite as hard all day. Makes total sense that they'd help with pruning pain.

Exactly! I wore compression sleeves for years when I was doing a lot of overhead pruning. That constant buzz from the tools goes right up your arms. The sleeves don't just keep you warm, they really do dampen that vibration. I found my forearms didn't get as tight and sore by the end of the day. It's a simple fix for a problem that can really wear you down over time.

Wait are we sure it's not just a placebo thing? I tried those sleeves once and my arms still felt like jelly after a day with the hedge trimmer. Honestly I think people just want to believe they work because they spent money on them. That constant buzz gets into your bones, a little bit of fabric isn't stopping that. Might help with keeping warm but that's about it.
