My go-to hardware store now has the dishwasher parts I run out of.

They just added a shelf full of common pumps and motors. It saves me so much time on service calls!

The Home Depot near me added a similar section six months ago. I keep a couple of common motors in my truck now, saves a trip mid-job.

Have you ever had one of those motors fail because it got bounced around too much? I tried keeping spares in my van last year and half the time they were the wrong fit or had corroded connectors. It's not just about clutter, it's about wasted money when you can't return opened parts. Plus, newer models come out and your old stock becomes useless. I'd rather make the trip and know I have the right part for the job.

But how do you deal with parts getting old or outdated in your truck? I see it differently because storing stuff like that feels like a clutter magnet. Things get banged up rolling around, and it's cash stuck in your glove box. If a job calls for a different model, you're still making a store run. Plus, who wants to dig through a pile of motors every time? I'd rather just grab what I need fresh from the shelf.
